Solebury Baseball’s focus is to teach boys and girls the skills to become better players in an environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, character, and fun.  The emphasis will be focused on learning the fundamentals at each age group while progressing the skills of the children.  The season typically begins with practices starting in late March with games running through mid-June.  The program primarily serves the Solebury and New Hope community counts on volunteers in multiple capacities to make the program a great environment for the children.  For each of the Divisions except for Tee Ball, the teams will typically play games against other local rec programs in Upper Makefield (PA), Plumstead (PA), Lambertville (NJ), and Delaware Twp. (NJ) in addition to Solebury teams.  All home games are held at Laurel Park adjacent to the Solebury Township Building.

Tee Ball: Age 5-6

This is designed for young children beginning organized baseball.  Every kid bats and plays in the field each inning with the games typically lasting one hour.  Practices are typically held one day a week until games begin.  Games begin in late April and occur 1-2 times per week.

Rookie Baseball: Age 7-8

This progresses the game of baseball into a combination of using a pitching machine to get the children comfortable with consistent pitches then progressing to a combination of coach and kid pitch games as the season progresses.  Practices are typically one day a week with games beginning in early April.  Then games move to 1-2 times per week in May through the end of the season.

Minors Baseball: Age 9-10

All games are played on a 46/60 field with kids doing all of the pitching.  This provides a more competitive style of baseball to prepare them for different game situations before the children move to the larger fields and involves players being able to steal bases. Practices are typically one day a week with games beginning in early April.  Then games move to 2 times per week in May through the end of the season.

Majors Baseball: Age 11-13

All games are played on the 50/70 field which helps provide a transition from the Minors program in the size, rules, and strategy before moving to the large 60/90 field used in middle school.  Practices are typically one day a week with games beginning in early April.  Then games move to 2 times per week in May through the end of the season.
